Navarre, Destin, and Pensacola, Florida Weekly Fishing Reports
Jonathan reached out last week and scheduled a day of fishing.
I let him know that it would cold and windy. He didn’t care and was ready to catch some fish!
We launched around 2PM into a stiff NNW wind.
A short pedal later and we were in semi-protected waters.
He worked an area with soft plastics and picked up several keeper Speckled Trout.
A few casts later he was hooked up to his first slot Redfish of the day.
We pressed on and changed lures.
We pulled out the jerkbaits and went to work.
I let Jonathan know the larger fish would hit on the pause and stressed the importance of fishing slow.
It wasn’t long before I heard him say “fish on!”
The sun was setting and we were a long ways off of the launch.
There was another area I wanted to hit and we made a quickly pedal over.
A few casts later and Jonathan was hooked to his forth slot Redfish.
After releasing the fish we called it a night and headed on in.
Jonathan finished the day with four slot Redfish and a healthy limit of Speckled Trout.
