Scouting with Gerard – 10/27/2017

Navarre, Destin, and Pensacola, Florida Weekly Fishing Reports

Yesterday I was able to fish with a good buddy of mine.

Work keeps the two of us going different directions and it was nice to hit the water for a quick and relaxing trip.

We launched the kayaks around 8AM and headed to an area to do a little scouting.  We quickly realized that the Speckled Trout weren’t around and made a move.

A short pedal later and we found a large school of Redfish.

We started off with soft plastics but the fish weren’t responding as quickly as we wanted.  I hooked into the first one on a soft plastic and quickly decided to throw topwater.

Two casts later and I was hooked up on top!

A few casts later and Gerard was hooked up!

I decided to pull out the camera and start recording.

Gerard threw topwater for the next hour and I was able to catch it all on film.

Now, I’m a terrible camera man and I didn’t adjust the camera settings correctly so the film isn’t as good as it could have been.

Next weeks film will be sweet if I knew how to use the new camera!!!!
