Offshore

We begin running Offshore Kayak Fishing Charters in May and we spent this past weekend doing a little scouting.

On Sunday, we decided to launch early, check for bait, and run south to check on the Triggerfish and Red Snapper.

Red Snapper

The Red Snapper population is booming off of Navarre Beach, Florida.

We checked five bottom spots and all of them were loaded with fish.

Red Snapper season opens on June 11th and closes on July 20th.

Don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your trip!

Triggerfish

The Triggerfish were plentiful and the season is currently open.

If you would like to get off of the beach and attempt to catch one, let us know!

Small hooks, fluorocarbon, and squid will get the job done.

Mackerel

The Spanish and Kings have been showing up at the piers and it won’t be long before they are everywhere.

As the temperatures increase, cigar minnows will show up in numbers.

Our next seminar will focus on targeting King Mackerel!

Inshore

The Redfish and Speckled Trout have been feeding well throughout the bay systems.

Soft plastics and topwater lures have been getting the job done.

If you’re having trouble targeting Redfish check out this article:
